DONEGAL goalkeeper Fintan Doherty has been named in the Republic of Ireland Under-17 squad for the upcoming Uefa European Championship Qualifiers next month.
Doherty, who came through the ranks at Bonagee United, is on the books at Derry City and is among the 20-man squad chosen by Irish Under-17 manager Colin O’Brien.
Ireland face Andorra (7 October), North Macedonia (10 October) and Poland (13 October) in the first round of qualification. All games will be at the home of Cork City, Turner’s Cross.
