Shane Irwin from Finn Valley Athletic Club has been selected for the European U23 Championships to take place in Gavle, Sweden.
The Championships will take place from the 11th – 14th July 2019 and Ramelton native Irwin, who is coached by Shauna Carlin, will be part of the 4x400m team.
His confirmed teammates are Chris O’Donnell from North Sligo AC, Ennis Track Club’s Chris O’Donnell, Thomas Pitkin from Clonliffe Harriers, Galway Harriers Cillin Greene and Craig Newell of Ballymena and Antrim AC. The non-travelling reserve is Jamie Pender from St. Abban’s AC.
