THE Ulster Spring Throws Festival takes place this weekend at the Finn Valley Centre, Stranorlar.
The event gets underway at 9.30am and features competition at shot putt, discus, hammer, javelin and weight for distance.
Competitions are open to athletes at under-14, under-16, under-18, under-20, senior and masters male and female.
Athletes must be over 18 to throw senior implements and weight for distance competition is confined to senior and masters athletes.
Shot putt registration will be at 9.30am with competition underway at 10am; discus registration opens at 10.30am for 11am competition; hammer registration starts at 12.30pm to begin throwing at 1pm; registration starts for the javelin at 2.30pm for 3pm competition wit weight for distance registration open from 4pm for 4.30pm competition.
Entry fee is €5 per event. Entries will be accepted on the day.
