FINN HARPS ARE ON the lookout for a new Media Officer after Joe Doherty confirmed his departure from the role.
Last night, just before 9 o’clock, Ballybofey man Doherty emailed members of the media to inform them that he had stepped down.
Doherty is a former Harps secretary who has filled in as the Media Officer since vacating the secretary’s post.
“Just a quick note to let you know that I have stepped down from the role of Media Officer at the club,” Doherty said in a brief circular.
[adrotate group=”43″]“I would like to thank your all for your help and coverage of the club and hope that some of the information I have provided over the last 15 years has been of some benefit to some of you.”
Doherty was club administrator in the late 1990s and has since been secretary and PRO.
As Media Officer, Doherty compiled the weekly bulletins, comprising team news, quotes from the manager, Ollie Horgan, and statistics, but he has confirmed that he will continue to edit the club’s matchday programme.
