Finn Harps have defensive concerns ahead of tonight’s visit of Cobh Ramblers to Finn Park in the SSE Airtricity League First Division, kick-off 8pm.
Centre-back Keith Cowan is in Italy, where he is due to getting married next Wednesday to fiancee Toni Kelly, while Thomas McMonagle hobbled off during last Friday’s 3-0 win at Waterford United.
Packie Mailey can step into the void in Cowan’s stead and Harps can take confidence from winning each of their last two outings, with a 1-0 victory over Cabinteely FC preceding the success at the RSC, where loan signing from Derry City Nathan Boyle netted twice.
“Cobh will be a very difficult game, they are improving all the time and had a great result winning 4-1 in their last away trip in Athlone,” said Finn Harps manager Ollie Horgan. “They have great talented players in Kevin Mulcahy and Shane O Connor added to the pace and ability of the likes of Kynan Rocks and Stephen Kenny.”
