FINN HARPS will return to pre-season training next Monday night ahead of their return to the SSE Airtricity League Premier Division.
Ollie Horgan’s squad will assemble at the Aura Leisure Centre in Letterkenny for their first get-together of 2016.
The Harps manager has already three pre-season friendlies lined up.
On Saturday, February 27th, Harps will take on Drogheda United with games against Athlone Town – on the weekend of February 14th – and UCD – on the weekend of February 21st – pencilled in.
Exact dates for the Athlone and UCD games and venues for all three fixtures have yet to be confirmed.
Horgan has had a busy couple of months since Harps secured promotion with their play-off win over Limerick FC in November, but it has been something of a frustrating time for the Harps boss.
12 players are confirmed as signed up for 2016, including new signings Ryan McConnell and Ryan Curran.
“We’ll be starting training with low numbers, but we’re working on a number of avenues. Its very much a waiting game.”
One potential target for Horgan was Cillian Morrison, the former UCD, Cork City and Derry City striker, but the Letterkenny native has opted to play Gaelic football in 2016 and yesterday made his debut for the Donegal senior team in the Dr McKenna Cup win over Down in Ballybofey.
