Ballybofey woman Laura Feely played on Sunday as the Ireland women’s rugby team overcame Wales 27-19 in Caerphilly.
It gave a winning start for new head coach Adam Griggs as Ireland scored a fine win in the Six Nations warm-up game.
Uncapped winger Megan Williams, who has been a regular on the Sevens World Series circuit, Claire McLaughlin, Alison Miller, Leah Lyons and Sene Naoupu were the try scorers as the girls in green deservedly came out on top.
A Jess Kavanagh-Williams brace had Wales 19-17 in front at half-time, but Ireland held them scoreless for the remainder.
Feely first broke onto the senior team last year and was in from the off in Wales.
The Connacht prop will now be aiming to get into the Irish team for the Six Nations.
