THE RACE IS taking part in Donegal the weekend after next.
It’s Ireland’s first 24-hour endurance event where competitors run, kayak and climb their way around 250km of Donegal with the event getting underway at 5am on Saturday, March 5 at Gartan Outdoor Education Training Centre.

Volunteers play an essential role in the running of The Race. Their enthusiasm and dedication was one of the highlights of the event for competitors in previous years and we simply couldn’t run The Race without this fantastic support.
In addition to supporting competitors volunteers can be involved in any one of roles below:
- Registration
- Transition Support
- Run course volunteer
- Bike course volunteer
- Kayak course Volunteer
- Finish line area
