A FOURTH DONEGAL athlete has reached the qualification mark for the European Youth Olympic Festival.Finn Valley AC’s Janine Boyle won a 100 metre race in Waterford this afternoon in a time of 11.94 seconds, an EYOF standard.
Last weekend, two other Finn Valley athletes – 400m hurdler Arlene Crossan and 800m runner Aaron McGlynn – reached EYOF standards.
Also last weekend Lifford-Strabane AC man Brendan O’Donnell also obtained an EYOF mark, reaching out to 64.82 metres to win the youth’s hammer at the Leevale Open Meet.
The Europan Youth Championships will be held this summer in Tbilisi, Georgia.
