FINN HARPS’ Ethan Boyle and St Johnston native Ronan Curtis have been named in a home-based Republic of Ireland Under-21 squad.
The duo have been selected for a game on February 11 against the Irish Amateur Squad.
A versatile player, Boyle played in the full back slots and midfield for Harps after being signed by Ollie Horgan prior to the 2016 Premier Division season.
Boyle had been a member of the Waterford United’s U19 squad and graduated to the senior team at the RSC before signing for Harps last season.
Boyle made 30 appearances last year and was persuaded, in spite of strong interest from elsewhere, to remain at Harps.
Curtis, meanwhile, had a superb season with Derry City. Curtis traveled to Spain with the Irish Under-21s in November for games against Czech Republic and Slovakia.
