There are now concerns that Donegal defender Eoghan Ban Gallagher may miss the rest of the championship season.
The BBC are reporting that the injury suffered by the Killybegs man is a broken ankle.
If that is true then the pacy back will be out for the rest of the season.
The Donegal County Board have yet to release an official statement on the matter.
Gallagher suffered the freak injury in training last night and was immediately rushed to Letterkenny University Hospital.
Gallagher was having a fine season and will be missed as a first choice on Declan Bonner’s starting fifteen against Kerry this weekend at Croke Park.
