YOU COULD FEEL the emotion inside the Brandywell as Josh Daniels scored his first goal for Derry City last night.
Just seven weeks ago, Daniels lost his mother, Ruth, his sister, Jodie Lee, brother-in-law Sean McGrotty and his nephews Mark and Evan in the Buncrana pier tragedy.
The five drowned when the Audi Q7 they were in slid on algae on the pier and soon became submerged in water in Lough Swilly.
The 20-year-old Daniels returned to action for Derry in the game against Sligo Rovers and received a standing ovation at The Brandywell.
The stadium shook last night when Daniels scored an equalising goal against Finn Harps, just six minutes after coming off the bench.
