KILLYGORDON STAGED the third Horse and Pony Club race meeting of the season on Sunday and it was another good day for 13-year-old Dylan Browne McMonagle who had three winners.
Dylan’s successes came on board Waratah (in the 148cms), the Rathmullan-owned Messi (153cms) and Athea Jade (1 1/4 Mile Open).
Among the other local wins were recorded by Jack Daniels (trained in Ramelton) who bounced back to form to win the 2 mile open in a pulsating finishing, beating Let’s Go.
The Ard na Glass team, the Baird family, also had a fruitful afternoon with a nice double – Don’t Know in the 1 1/2 Mile Open and Angel Eyes in the 1 Mile Open.
It was another successful day of racing with a good crowd in attendance at Russell’s Farm.
There’s no racing racing this weekend – the next event will be in the first week in July. More details to follow.
