FINN Harps have been hit with a double suspension blow for next weekend’s trip to Cobh.
Centre-backs Thomas McMonagle and Keith Cowan (pictured above) have both been handed one-game suspensions by the FAI’s Disciplinary Controls Unit (DCU) having reached their quota of yellow cards.
With four games remaining, Harps are still in the hunt for the First Division title and have one hand on at least a play-off spot.
Ollie Horgan’s team have no game this weekend with the FAI Cup quarter-finals taking centre stage, although top-of-the-table Wexford take on third placed UCD on Friday night.
With McMonagle and Cowan set to miss out, Horgan will be hoping that Packie Mailey will be able to take his place in the starting line-up.
Mailey has made only eight appearances this season having missed the first half of the season because of a leg injury. A recent knee injury has stunted his progress, but the Convoy man is likely to fill the void on Saturday-week at St Colman’s Park.
Cobh will be without Stephen Kenny and Kevin Mulcahy for the game.
