FINN HARPS HAVE SUFFERED a double injury blow ahead of Tuesday’s north-west derby with Derry City at The Brandywell.
Defender Keith Cowan and midfielder Gareth Harkin both seem set to miss out on Tuesday night’s encounter after picking up injuries during last night’s scoreless draw with Bohemians at Finn Park.

Harkin was withdrawn in the 37th minute and replaced by Michael Funston having shipped a heavy knock moments earlier.
[adrotate group=”43″]Harkin felt the force of a Daniel Byrne challenge and, while he attempted to run it off, he was substituted after being unable to continue.
Harkin is reported to be struggling to out weight on his leg this morning and, although he may be fit enough to face Dundalk next Friday night in Ballybofey, it seems as if Tuesday’s derby will come too soon.
Cowan is almost certainly out of the Derry game with the centre-back sustaining a foot injury in the closing stages of last night’s draw.
[adrotate group=”50″]Cowan played the 90 minutes, already nursing an injury, and had to be treated by the physio, Mickey McGlynn, late in the game. Cowan is set to have his foot x-rayed to determine the extent of the damage.
“We have a lot of knocks. One or two look nasty and it will be very difficult to get them recovered in time for the Brandywell,” Harps manager Ollie Horgan said.
Horgan was delighted to see Barry Molloy get 90 minutes under his belt while he still has Michael Rafter and Josh Mailey on his absent list.
Tuesday’s game will be shown live on Setanta Sports.
