DONEGAL WAS well represented on the Irish Banshees team that won the European Cup in Lisbon yesterday.
Hosted by AFL Europe in the Portugese capital, the tournament proved a huge success with the Banshees coming out on top after beating the England Vixens in the final.

Four players from Gaoth Dobhair were part of the Irish squad – Carolann Cassidy, Caolinn Cassidy, Rachel Nic Aoidh and Roisin McFadden – while Áine Higgins, a native of Tuam who is a student at Letterkenny Institute of Technology, was also in the panel.
