Donegal ground out a dramatic draw with Dublin in Ballybofey yesterday with Michael Murphy curling over a late free for Rory Gallagher’s men.Two goals late in the first half by Jason McGee and Ryan McHugh had Donegal ahead for a time until Niall Scully goaled for the Dubs – but Murphy came to the rescue with a late free that was hotly contested.
Here’s what the world of Twitter made of it all:
We all dream of a team of Michael Murphy's #donegal #AllianzLeagues pic.twitter.com/tRgmeVsHc7

Fair play to Donegal. Gruelling work. They must have soloed & handpassed 90-100km to get those three second half points

Cannot for the life of me see why the last free was given to Donegal. #AllianzLeagues

Said Dublin got a few soft frees & got the usual response – I'm a biased Muppet
Said Donegal got a soft free and got a few smiley faces.

I'm sure Donegal will take a draw against Dublin early days in the league. Great win for Monaghan over Kerry as well. #AllianzLeagues

If donegal played every champ game in ballybofey like Dublin do in Croker then maybe we would have more allirelands,#unfair#notallaboutthe€

That's a great point for Donegal, lot of young lads on that team put in a great shift.

Donegal supposed to be in transition like Roscommon. But levels of performance this weekend poles apart #gaa

Donegal are so underrated. Definitely coming in under the radar. All the talk in Ulster is about Tyrone. But that is a classy Donegal team.

Donegal should have tried to win a free there. Recycling the ball in positions where you cant pull the trigger only runs down the clock
