DONEGAL TOWN UNDER-16S finished of the season in resounding fashion against Bonagee Utd at a rain-soaked Killymard on Friday evening.

Donegal got the required win to clinch the title and finish the season unbeaten in the league.
It was a testing opening few minutes as both sides struggled with the conditions though it was Donegal who struck the first blow when Fiona Shovlin found the back of the net with a strike from outside the Bonagee box.
[adrotate group=”37″]The lead was short lived as Bonagee equalised with an outstanding goal from Ridhcheall Dothery who beat the keeper from all of 35 yards.
Donegal restored their lead five minutes before half time when Susanne White was fouled on the edge of the area and the forward then picked herself up to fire past the keeper from the resulting free kick.
Donegal took advantage in the final moments of the first half adding two more goals, firs from Jessica Lease who finished confidently inside the box and then captain Danielle McDevitt who hit the net with another long range effort.
[adrotate group=”38″]Donegal continued their dominance at the start of the second half when a well worked corner from Danielle McDevitt and Laura Furey allowed Sarah Harkin to break in to fire across the keeper and in.
Donegal added further goals in the later stages of the second half from Danielle McDevitt, Jessica Lease, Laura Furey and Emily McDevitt to finish the season in style.
