DONEGAL WILL LEARN their opponents for the 2016 Bank of Ireland Dr McKenna Cup this evening.
The draw for the competition takes place in the Fitzwilliam Hotel in Belfast.
Gallagher recently confirmed the addition of 12 new players to his squad.
Although there have been no retirements, Donegal will be without goalkeeper Paul Durcan – who has moved to Dubai – for at least the early part of the season while Michael Boyle and Darach O’Connor have recently undergone surgery on cruciate knee ligament injuries.
Declan Walsh has taken a break from inter-county football to concentrate on his studies while another five players were released from the squad.
This evening’s draw will also have Donegal interest in the form of University of Ulster Jordanstown, whose management team will include former Donegal footballer Martin McHugh.
UUJ, St Mary’s and Queen’s University will again compete in the 2016 Bank of Ireland Dr McKenna Cup.
The Ulster Council has announced that it will be selling a Limited Edition of competition tickets for the competition.
Those tickets are priced at £20/€25 and will permit you access to Round 1, Round 2 and Round 3 games involving your team, both semi finals and the final.
The Bank of Ireland Dr McKenna Cup will get underway on Sunday, January 3.
