THE DONEGAL Sports Partnership is set to benefit from an €80,000 funding allocation announced today under the Dormant Accounts Fund for Sport and Physical Activity Measures.
The investment includes further funding for the Community Sports and Physical Activity Hubs in Stranorlar, Killybegs, Ballyshannon and Maghery as well as funding for Youth Leadership and Volunteer Training Programmes.
The investment will be administered by Sport Ireland and to engage with communities across the country, focusing on people with disabilities, people who are educationally disadvantaged and from disadvantaged communities.
The allocations for Donegal include:
- €35,000 for Community Sports and Physical Activity Hubs in Stranorlar, Killybegs, Ballyshannon
- €20,000 for Community Sports and Physical Activity Hubs in Maghery
- €10,000 for Youth Leadership in the Donegal Sports Partnership
- €15,000 for Volunteer Training & Support Programme in the Donegal Local Sports Partnership
Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport, Shane Ross TD, and Minister of State for Tourism and Sport, Brendan Griffin TD, announced that package of €4.2 million will be invested nationally.
