CHARLIE WHITE from Carrigans scored a cracker from the halfway line today as Club NI Under-14s hammered Amerian outfit GPS Bayern 8-0.
The St Eunan’s College, Letterkenny student, who plays his club football with Maiden City in Derry, plays at centre-back and scored a stunning goal as Club NI recorded a facile win at the Mid Ulster Sports Arena in Cookstown.
The Club NI Under-14s are managed by former Finn Harps and Derry City player Pascal Vaudequin.
Club NI is the IFA’s Elite Programme and White is a regular on Vaudequin’s team, who are in preparation for the Mediterranean International Cup at the end of March.
In August of last year, White was part of the Club NI side that won the SimplyFruit Club NI International Cup, when they defeated Glasgow Rangers, Everton and the French Federation.
Dean Corrigan, George Tipton, Jack Scott, Christopher Conn, Chris McKee and a brace from Caolan McLaughlin were also on the mark in today’s rout.
