LETTERKENNY native and former Finn Valley AC member Gerry O’Doherty and his wife Mags  joined their family, friends and 17,000 others for the run to Morrison’s Great Newham London Run at the re-opened Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London last Sunday.
‘Team Mags’ (pictured above by Kieran Carlin) made their way towards the arena in Stratford, East London, to raise funds for Aspire -a charity‬ that aids those with spinal injuries towards independence.
Paula Radcliffe, the 2005 World Marathon Championship, got the participants away on the 10k course. It was an inspiring day for them and an emotional one for Margaret who fights every day for improvement having suffered a spinal injury at home sometime ago.
