UNIVERSITY COLLEGE DUBLIN were certainly on form this afternoon in the CFAI Harding Cup quarter-final with an 8-0 win this afternoon.
Milford United’s Darragh Black scored twice, while Georgie Kelly (pictured above) from Burt – formerly of Derry City but now at UCD – was also on the mark in the fixture played at Mervue in Galway against University College Cork B.
Daire O’Connor had UCD 1-0 up at the break, before seven second half goals with Gary O’Neill, another from O’Connor, Robbie Nolan and Dan Tobin joining Black and Kelly on the scoresheet.
UCD now take on the University of Limerick tomorrow in the semi-finals of the first year competition.
