THE DONEGAL Masters team will have to navigate a three-way play-off to reach an All-Ireland semi-final.
Michel Ward and Johnny McCafferty hit goals today as the Val Murray-managed Donegal overcame Cavan in Ballybofey.
The win means Donegal will now be involved in a play-off alongside Galway and Laois.
Donegal were drawn first out of the hat so get a bye to the play-off final. Galway and Laois will meet first with the winner advancing to face Donegal.
Dublin, Tyrone and Roscommon are also in the semi-finals.
Donegal will be in action on August 24 with the semi-finals on August 31.
