DONEGAL MASTERS MADE it two wins from two in the All-Ireland Masters Championship as Leitrim forfeited at Colaiste Ailigh in Letterkenny last night.
Manager John McNulty had a panel of 34 at the venue in Carnamuggagh but as the 7:30pm throw-in time approached, Leitrim had only a handful of players arriving in dribs and drabs by car.
[adrotate group=”37″]McNulty conducted a decent warm-up and when referee John McGlanaghy was informed that Leitrim’s sum total was 11 players shortly after 8pm, the Connacht side forfeited and Donegal were awarded a walkover victory.
A handful of Donegal players swapped shirts and helped to take their guests up to 15 starters and a challenge match was played instead under a rapidly dusking sky.

Cavan and Tyrone are also in Donegal’s group, as well as Antrim, whom McNulty’s side opened their competition with a win over in Kilyclougher, on a 2-13 to 0-7 scoreline last month. The top two teams qualify for the semi-finals.
