THE DONEGAL MASTERS meet Westmeath in the semi-final of the Irish TV Gaelic Masters Shield competition this Saturday in Cavan.
John McNulty’s Donegal will take on Westmeath at Baenboy at 1pm on Saturday.
Donegal have won the All-Ireland Masters twice, but this year is the first time in around a decade that they have fielded in the competition.
Led by manager McNulty, the resurrection was the brainchild of Naomh Muire clubman Paul Gallagher.
Glenswilly’s Gerard McGrenra scored 1-2 in Donegal’s opening game, a comprehensive 2-13 to 0-7 win over Antrim. Leitrim’s failure to field saw Donegal collect the points.

Charlie Gallagher from Four Masters, Charlie Doherty of Naomh Muire, Kilcar’s David McShane and Daniel Bradley, Bundoran – all part of the Donegal squad – formed part of the International Masters Series squad recently.
McNulty can also call upon St Eunan’s John Haran, who lined out in this year’s Donegal SFC.
