THE DONEGAL Masters booked a place in the All-Ireland final – and a meeting with Dublin – after edging out Roscommon.
Donegal 1-11 Roscommon 1-10
Donegal had a point to spare on Roscommon on a day when the likes of John Haran, Gerard McGill, Brian McLaughlin and Peter Devlin were on song.
Devlin netted the Donegal goal after Roscommon surged four in front during a lively opening.
Haran set up Devlin to fire in the Tir Chonaill goal.
However, the good work was undone when Donal Carroll batted in a Roscommon goal just moments later.
Donegal had a narrow 1-6 to 1-5 lead at the break.
Roscommon moved ahead again, but Donegal levelled on a couple of occasions, thanks to Brian McLaughlin and John McFadden.
Benny Cassidy, with two, and Kerry Ryan, hit late points as Donegal sneaked through.
‘Keeper McGill made a vital late save to deny Roscommon a goal.
