Michael ‘Sticky’ Ward and Dermot McColgan were the Donegal goalscorers last week.
Last year, Donegal won the Shield competition, beating Offaly 0-13 to 0-10 in the final, but are aiming for the top prize this time around.
Paul McGonigle, recently appointed as Declan Bonner’s assistant manager with the Donegal senior team, is among the key players with the likes of former Donegal players John Haran and Brian McLaughlin also on the squad.
