THE ALL-IRELAND FINAL isn’t that far behind us but this evening the draw was made for the 2016 provincial championships.
Donegal will play the winner of the preliminary round between Fermanagh and Antrim in the fourth of the quarter-finals.
That means that Rory Gallagher (pictured above) might be welcoming Fermanagh to Ballybofey, while Donegal will take to the road if Antrim come through.
If Donegal progress to the semi-finals, they will meet the winner of Monaghan against Down.
In 2015, Donegal reached their fifth successive Ulster SFC in succession, only to lose to Monaghan 0-11 to 0-10. To get there, Donegal team posted a 1-13 to 1-10 win over Tyrone, defeated Armagh 2-11 to 0-8 and Derry 1-9 to 0-10.
In the All-Ireland series, Donegal overcame Galway 3-12 to 0-11 before going down to Mayo in the All-Ireland quarter-finals, 2-13 to 0-11.
Dublin overcame Kerry to win Sam Maguire on a 0-12 to 0-9 scoreline last month.
