DONEGAL TOWN were on top from the start. Joe McIntyre almost opened the scoring after just five minutes when he carried the ball from the centre of midfield and blazed the ball across the Kerrykeel goal.
Donegal came close again three minutes later when Ciaran O’Reilly’s corner kick to the front post was poked just wide by Declan Brown.
David Graham opened the scoring for Donegal when he got on the end of McIntyre’s cross and fired low towards the front post leaving the Kerrykeel ‘keeper no chance. McIntyre was involved again soon after, this time setting up Daniel McHugh. McHugh’s top corner effort was tipped over brilliantly by the Kerrykeel keeper James Sunderland.
Kerrykeel’s only chance of the first half came from a free kick, Fergal Friel’s brilliant effort from 25 yards hitting the bar.
Graham doubled Donegal’s lead on 41 minutes hammering the ball high into the Kerrykeel net.
Donegal dominated the second half and doubled their lead within five minutes, Graham setting McHugh up for a delightful chip.
Graham then blasted past the Kerrykeel keeper to complete his hat-trick. Benny Byrne finished off the scoring for Donegal.

DEELE welcomed Letterbarrow to The Athletic Grounds for the only game in Division Two. The home side dominated in difficult conditions but spurned numerous opportunities in the first half with Brian Breslin, Shane Gallagher and Conor Catterson all going close.
Deele upped their game and their second half finishing was impressive.
The deadlock was broken when left back Paul Lynch curled in a superb left footed free kick on 55 minutes. Goal two came on 60 minutes when a Paul Lynch corner was met full on by Tom Mullan who powered home a header.
The contest was over on 70 minutes as speed merchant Brian Breslin raced up the left, cut inside and fired home from 20 yards.
The goal of the game was served up by young Kevin Lynch whose mazy run beat three defenders and finished with a cheeky chip over the keeper.
