IT’S ULSTER NOW for the respective champions in Donegal ladies’ GAA circles.
Last year, Termon (pictured above) went the whole way to winning the Tesco Homegrown All-Ireland Senior Ladies title and this Sunday, they begin their defence of their Ulster Senior Football Championship.
Francie Friel’s side welcome Antrim’s St Paul’s to the Burn Road, throw-in at 2pm.
Decorated Monaghan linchpins Donaghamoyne are in action against Carrickcruppen of Armagh, Glen from Derry host Errigal Ciaran of Tyrone and Castlewellen, who won Down, welcome Lurgan from Cavan.
Meanwhile, it’s Ardara (pictured above) who will be flying the flag for Donegal in the Ulster Intermediate Football Championship.
Pearse Park, on Saturday at 2pm, will play host to the St John Bosco from Down’s visit.
Also on Saturday, Dunaghmoyne B of Monaghan take on whoever is crowned Derry champions, while on Sunday Fermanagh’s Lisnaskea are home to St Bridgids from Antrim and Lissummon of Armagh entertain Tyrone’s Glenelly.
Buncrana (pictured above) are the Donegal Junior champions and are home on Saturday at 5pm as St Paul’s B from Antrim make the journey through Glenshane.
Sunday’s action sees O’Neill Shamrocks from Monaghan lock horns with Cavan’s Drumgoon, RGU Downpatrick from Down clashing with Brookborough from Fermanagh and the Derry champions Steelstown playing Trillick of Tyrone.
