The Donegal senior ladies aim to make it three-from-three tomorrow when they take on Kerry in their next LIDL National League Division 1 clash (Rathmore, 1pm).
Micheál Naughton’s side are in their first year back in the top flight and have had a flying start with wins over Armagh and Galway.
Now, though, they face a Kerry side that is in desperate need of a win having lost their opening two games.
Donegal had a rip-roaring opening win as they defeated Armagh 4-10 to 0-11 in Convoy. Debutant Paula McGrory scored two goals while Amber Barrett and Roisin Friel also netted.
Donegal followed that up when Geraldine McLaughlin’s late point secured a 2-10 to 1-12 win over Galway in Tuam.
Naughton’s team have shown themselves already to be more than comfortable in the surroundings of Division 1 and will aim to shorten the trip tomorrow with a win in Kerry.
Powered by the likes of Karen Guthrie and Katy Herron, with Laura Gallagher in top form in goal and with the calibre of McLaughlin and Barrett leading the line, the Tir Chonaill squad is a formidable unit.
