DONEGAL jockey Oisin Orr rode the third win of his fledgling career on Sunday in Dundalk.
The Rathmullan teenager took victory aboard 5-1 shot Balmont Blast in the Crowne Plaza Apprentice Handicap.
With two furlongs remaining, Balmont Blast hit the front and by the time they reached the post they had four-and-a-half lengths to spare on second placed The Buthce’s Filly.
Orr had two previous wins, both in Dundalk. In January, he steered Balmont Blast to victory while he was aboard Iron Major for a success in April (pictured above).
Orr is based in Meath with trainer Eddie Lynam.
Meanwhile, Martin Harley had two winners at Lingfield on Wednesday.
Harley took 3/1 joint favourite Rebel Surge to success before enjoying a win on board 11/4 shot Ediye later in the day.
