Donegal have withdrawn from this Sunday’s Ulster Senior Hurling Championship relegation play-off.
Ardal McDermott’s Donegal – who lost to Antrim in a semi-final last weekend at Celtic Park – were due to take on Down at Owenbeg on Sunday in a relegation play-off.
Donegal battled gamely against Antrim, but fell to a 3-24 to 2-10 loss.
It has been announced by the Ulster Council that Sunday’s play-off will not be going ahead as Donegal have withdrawn from their involvement.
Donegal are set to play Armagh on Saturday-week in their opening game of the 2017 Nicky Rackard Cup.
