The Local Authority is the main sponsor and its Chief Executive Seamus Neely believes that the Donegal Sports Star Awards are a great way of recognising the wonderful sporting talent in the County.
“Each year we are blown away by the calibre of entries to the Donegal Sport Star Awards. The variety of sports represented is outstanding and I would urge clubs and individuals to nominate those who they feel should be recognised for their sporting achievements.”
Seamus O’Domhnaill the Cathaoirleach of the Council said the awards have proved to be the perfect way of recognising the many successes that Donegal sport has enjoyed in the past and 2018 is no different.
“We in the Council are proud of our longstanding association with the Sports Star Awards. Sport is the lifeblood of communities right across Donegal and I would urge the public to make their nominations now before the deadline this Friday.
“It is an honour for any Donegal Sports person to be nominated by their peers and even more so to be recognised by your county.”
