LORCAN O’TOOLE has been appointed as the new manager of the Donegal minor hurlers.
The Four Masters clubman takes over from Tom Clare.
O’Toole is a schoolteacher at Sessiaghoneill NS in Ballybofey who is a former Four Masters hurler.
He played county hurling with Donegal at under-16 and minor level.
O’Toole has managed the Donegal Under-14s and Under-16s in the last two years and now makes the step up to minor level.
Previously, O’Toole hurled with St Peregrines in Dublin and he won a Kildare JHC title with St Mary’s, Leixlip, while he was a full-time coach at Lucan Sarsfields in a previous guise.
Ryan O’Donnell will be on board as strength and conditioning coach, Joe Joe Doherty will be selector, Del Laverty will be the goalkeeping coach, while tone and floe pilates instructor Jean Wilcox is also on the backroom team.
