DONEGAL MAN GARY MURRAY has been chosen to represent Ireland at the European Championships Half Marathon, which will take place in Amsterdam in July.
The Stranorlar native, who now lives in Newtowncunningham and works in Derry, has been confirmed by Athletics Ireland for the event.
Murray, who runs for Clonliffe Harriers, is joined on the team by Sergiu Ciobanu (Clonliffe), Mick Clohisey (Raheny), Mark Hanrahan (Leevale), Paul Pollock (Annadale) and Kevin Seaward from St Malachy’s.
Murray is a former national cross-country champion.
He had over three years out injured after rupturing his achillies in 2010 and only came back after operations in 2011 and 2012.
