Donegal’s Under-17s booked a place in the Ulster Under-17 Jim McGuigan Cup final after seeing off Armagh in Ballybofey this afternoon.

Donegal kept Armagh at bay at times when the Orchard turned the screw.
Early in the second half, with Donegal just three points in front, Tiernan O’Hare rattled the Donegal crossbar before Donegal ‘keeper Corey Byrne made a brilliant stop to deny Michael King, who surged through.
With Shane O’Donnell to the fore and with Senan Rooney, Leo Dunphy, Stephen McFadden and Rory O’Donnell on the mark, Donegal moved into command.
The Tir Chonaill men were four in front but, on the stroke of half-time, Armagh sneaked in for a goal as Peter Murray tapped home after getting past Byrne.
Two points by O’Donnell settled the wobbles before those two goal chances were passed up by the visitors.
Donegal were able to close out well and Gary Duffy’s men now face Monaghan in the final.
