Donagh Kelly won the West Cork Rally for the fourth successive year today.
Kelly, with Conor Foley again on the notes in the Ford Focus, took the win for a record four-in-a-row – something that has never been done before.
Kelly and Foley had 1 minute and 45.7 seconds to spare on their nearest challengers, Josh Moffett and James Fulton.
The all-Donegal crew of Joseph McGonigle and Ciaran Geaney were fifth overall. The Skoda Fabia of the Muff-Falcarragh duo battled into the top five.
Darragh Kelly called the notes for Aaron McHale and they finished eighth.
Kilmacrennan’s Paddy Robinson was on board with David Guest who won Group N in the Evo 9.
Pettigo’s Kevin Eves won the National event. Eves had William Lynch as co-driver and they had 3:42.4 of an advantage on the all-Donegal crew of Kevin Gallagher and Brendan McElhinney.
John Bonner and Leon Jordan came sixth in the national event in their Escort.
The McGettigans, Kyle and Dale, were 11th overall, while Johnny Baird was on board with Wesley Patterson and they were 14th.
