NA ROSSA DEFEATED Robert Emmets last night while Red Hughs reclaimed the summit’s position in the AllSportStore.com All-County Football League Division 4.
Na Rossa defeated Robert Emmets 0-10 to 0-9 in Dooey.
Na Rossa took a four-point lead into half-time, 0-8 to 0-4.
Four of the home side’s points came of the boot of John Paul McCready, Odhran Molloy registered two points and Gerard Breslin and John McDyre hit a point each.

McNulty and McCready swapped points before Christian Bonner extended the home side’s lead.
A pivotal moment arrived when Robert Emmets goalkeeper Simon McMenamin made a stunning save to deny Molloy in a one-on-one.
Emmetts piled on the pressure and finished the game strongly scoring four points without reply to leave the bare minimum between the sides but Na Rossa held on to take two vital points.

Red Hughs led from start to finish and were 0-5 to 0-3 in front at half-time. Calvin Bradley was on form from play and Damien Browne’s peerless free taking was also a feature of this game, while Colm Melaugh bagged a point in the second half for the winners.
