NAOMH PÁDRAIG, MUFF moved into the semi-finals of the Michael Murphy Sports Junior A Football Championship last night following a narrow win over Inishowen rivals Urris at The Scarvey.

Urris led 0-5 to 0-3 at half-time, but Niall McLaughlin – who had scored four points in the first half – hobbled off injured at the break and Muff pulled clear.
The Ture outfit were without captain Colm McColgan due to an injury sustained during the week while Anthony McColgan was forced off 20 minutes in.
But with Damian Diver in scoring form – he landed six in all – it was Naomh Padraig who advanced to the last four.
[adrotate group=”46″]Muff hit eight second-half wides and could have let it slip, but earned a narrow one-point win to maintain their good momentum.
McLaughlin swung over four warly points with Ryan Ranty also on the mark as Urris took a control of things early on, after Diver pointed on 40 seconds.
A pair of frees by Diver had Muff within two at the changeover.
[adrotate group=”68″]Aidan Lynch levled it at 0-6 to 0-6 midway through the second half and Diver converted a free for the lead.
Mark McLaughlin briefly restored parity for Urris, but Marty Duffy landed the winner for Naomh Pádraig and the semi-finals beckon.
