Derry City has announced that Donegal men Adrian Delap and Shane McNamee have both signed new three-year contracts at the club.
The news comes as a major boost for the Lone Moor Road side, who have been subject to some huge losses in recent seasons – with the departure of Patrick McEleney, Dean Jarvis, Michael Duffy and Barry McNamee to other League of Ireland clubs.
Ramelton’s Shane McNamee became the third McNamee sibling to appear for Derry City when he made his debut in June against Shamrock Rovers.
Aidy Delap, from Ray, recently made an impact from the substitute bench – scoring his first goal for the Foylesiders against St.Patrick’s Atheltic in the FAI Cup.
Last years Ulster Senior League Player of the Year has been impressing his manager this season in training and was given the call when City’s main striker was hauled off with a shoulder injury in August.
The same can be said for McNamee, who has featured regularly in Kenny Shiels’ matchday squad this season, scoring two against Blarney United at the start of last month.
