A GROUP of young Letterkenny footballers were toasting glory at the Wroclaw Trophy in Poland.
Letterkenny Celtic Under-10s won the Under-10 competition of the prestigious tournament held in the Polish city of Wroclaw.
The Letterkenny Celtic team is the Letterkenny Development team that draws players from Illistrin, Bonagee, Ballyraine, Glen Rovers and Kilmacrennan.
Letterkenny defeated Podil Kiev 2-1 in the final this afternoon at the Stadoin Olimpijski.
Finn Nolan and Zack Gallagher bagged the goals in the win and their weekend got even better as goalkeeper Cormac Crossan was named as the Goalkeeper of the Tournament.
The Letterkenny lads defeat Podil Kiev 4-0 in a group game, while they had a 17-0 hammering of GAP Sleza Borow and a 5-1 win over Football Academy Boleslawiec to top the group.
In the Elite knockout phase, they overcame MKS Ilanka Rzepin in a 6-3 cracker.
In the semi-finals, Letterkenny defeated NKS Start Namyslow 6-0 to tee up the final meeting with Podil Kiev.
Kildrum Tigers, meanwhile, finished third in the Under-17 section as they defeated KS Mszczonowianka 1-0 in the third-fourth place play-off.
Kildrum had beaten FC Polonia Berlin 5-0, KS Mszczonowianka 1-0 and MKS Orzeł Prusice 1-0 to advance from their group.
