Leah Gallen lost out to Ellouise Challenger in an international yesterday in Bristol.
The European Junior bronze medallist fell to defeat at the Bristol City Hall.
Home favourite Challenger, from the Downend Boxing Club in Bristol, took the decision in their welterweight bout.
Overall, Ireland won the international by nine bouts to seven.
Coach Joe Lavelle hailed the performances of all athletes on today’s card.
“It really was a fantastic show and set up. Everyone boxed very well and it really is encouraging to see the talent coming through,” he said.
