Declan Quinn from Glenties put on a great display of darts on the day to claim the 2018 John Harkin Darts title.
In the final, Quinn beat Stephen Harron 6-2, while beating some tough opponents on the way including John Con, John Menchia and Phil McGeehan.
In the Shield, youth player Owen Carr defeated veteran Roger McShane in the final 3-1 to claim the title, Owen just missed out by a point in the group stages to qualify for the main event.
We also had a 9 dart shootout in the group stages between Cartha and Liam who finished level on points where Liam came out the winner.
The tournament was run on a round robin format so all players had at least four matches and we had some great battles on the day in Evelyn’s Bar in what was the first dart tournament to be held in the Carrick venue.
The organisers would like to thanks all players who entered and who kept things running by marking matches, and to Evelyn’s Bar for hosting the event and to the Harkin family for their sponsorship.
