Donegal manager Declan Bonner says he has no injury concerns, bar those on the long-term list, ahead of Sunday’s Ulster SFC semi-final against Down.
Donegal head for Clones with a place in the Ulster final against Fermanagh up for grabs.
During the 2-16 to 0-16 win over Derry at Celtic Park on Sunday-week last, Donegal saw Neil McGee, Michael Langan (pictured) and Jamie Brennan all hobble off with injuries.
However, Bonner has confirmed that the trio will be available for this weekend.
“They’ll be alright,” Bonner said. There was a worry after the Derry game, but they’re okay now.”
The Donegal manager has confirmed that 2012 winner Anthony Thompson has returned to training having picked up a knock while Sunday will come too soon for Martin McElhinney, Martin O’Reilly and Nathan Mullins.
O’Reilly has not featured for Donegal since coming on as a sub in the League defeat to Dublin at Croke Park in February, while Mullins hasn’t played for the county since the loss to Monaghan at the end of March.
McElhinney’s sole action this year was a 28-minute spell against Tyrone in the League.
Stephen McBrearty has what Bonner called a ‘niggle’ and will be assessed again ahead of the weekend.
Jason McGee and Niall O’Donnell, who decided to concentrate on the U20 Championship could yet move back up to the senior ranks. After Sunday’s shock defeat to Derry in the U20 Championship, the duo will not be involved this weekend.
Bonner said: “Not for this week, no. We’ll see what’s going on down the line. We need to give those guys a chance to get over Sunday.”
