THE DONEGAL COMPETITIONS CONTROLS COMMITTEE (CCC) have confirmed the days and times for the opening games in the 2016 Michael Murphy Sports Donegal Senior Football Championship.
The Dr Maguire holders, Naomh Conaill, will get the defence of their title underway on Saturday, May 14th with a home game against Termon at Davy Brennan Memorial Park.
That game is in Group D, with Gaoth Dobhair welcoming Four Masters to Magheragallon the following afternoon.
The Naomh Conaill-Termon game – a repeat of one of last year’s quarter-final ties – is one of two games on the opening night with Dungloe hosting Bundoran at Rosses Park at the same time (7.30pm) in Group A.
There will be six games on Sunday.
Group B) is this year’s so-called ‘group of death’ and the Sunday afteroon sees St Eunan’s take on Kilcar at O’Donnell Park and St Michael’s bring Killybegs to The Bridge.
In Group C, Glenfin are at home to Naomh Muire at Pairc Tabhoige and Sean MacCumhaills travel to north Inishowen to take on Malin.
