ILLIES GOLDEN Gloves light-flyweight Darryl Moran will be Donegal’s sole representative at this Friday night’s Irish Under-22 finals.
Moran will meet Jordan Leahy from Urlingford in the 49kgs final at the National Stadium.
Moran is a six-time Irish champion who will be aiming to add to his collection.
His brother, Leigh, was denied by Glasnevin’s Jordan Moore in a flyweight semi-final on Saturday with the Dubliner getting a split decision.
[adrotate group=”53″]Dungloe’s Matthew McCole was beaten by Caoimhinn Ferguson of Gleann in a 64kgs semi-final, while Twin Towns’ Ciara Anderson lost out to Shannon Sweeney of St Anne’s in a 48kgs semi-final on Friday night.
Donegal has two winners of titles by way of walkover: Jackie Gillespie taking the Irish Novice 50kgs crown and Maeve McCarron claiming the Under-22 81+kgs title.
