DARRYL MORAN captured his ninth Irish title last night, the Illies Golden Gloves man winning the Under-22 light-flyweight title.
Moran was on song to lift his latest Irish crown as he defeated Urlingford’s Jordan Leahy.
The Illies man was in command of the 49kgs decider at The National Stadium in the first of the night’s finals and he claimed the unanimous verdict from the judges at ringside.
For Moran, the win now means he’s likely to be selected for the Irish team to travel to the European Under-22 Championship in Brăila, Romania from March 13th to 22nd.
