DONEGAL CHAMPIONS Naomh Conaill have confirmed that Martin Doherty and Martin Regan have been appointed as joint managers for the 2016 season.
The appointment was confirmed at a club meeting this evening in Glenties.
Regan was sole manager in 2015 when Naomh Conaill won back the Dr Maguire Cup in October when they defeated St Eunan’s 0-11 to 0-10 in the county final.
Naomh Conaill also won the county and All-Ireland Comortas Peile na Gaeltachta titles in 2015.
Regan said in December that he wouldn’t be seeking another term as manager, but he has done a slight U-turn and agreed to join forces with Doherty for another go.
Doherty had a previous spell in charge at Davy Brennan Memorial Park when he was joint-manager alongside Stephen McKelvey in 2012.
That year, Naomh Conaill were beaten by St Eunan’s in the final of the Donegal SFC, after which Paddy Campbell took over as manager.
